The Open Source Hardware Association (OSHWA) runs a free program that allows creators to certify that their hardware complies with the community definition of open source hardware. Whenever you see the certification logo, you know that the certified hardware meets this standard.

Over the course of the last two years as part of a National Science Foundation POSE III grant focused on the intersection of health and open hardware, leading to the Open Healthware ecosystem, OSHWA developed a new certification process specific to open health devices with the extraordinary support of the open healthware community. We are extremely proud to be able to highlight the first Open Healthware Certifications.
