Meltio, a developer of wire-laser metal 3D printing technology, has launched a U.S.-assembled version of its Meltio Robot Cell for industrial customers in the Americas.

Assembled in the United States, the turnkey robotic Directed Energy Deposition (DED) system is intended to reduce shipping and customs delays associated with importing complete cells from Spain. Meltio is targeting industries including automotive, aerospace, defense, mining, energy, and oil and gas. Meltio says the standardized manufacturing platform removes much of the integration work associated with robotic metal 3D printing, shortening assembly lead times.
